Lee side park is great for a nothern wind. It is on the bay side of HWY 98 about 1 mi from the Brooks bridge.

For wind out of the south any of the gulf side HWY 98 pull-offs on Okaloosa Island between the Brooks and Destin bridges are great.

A good spot for Niceville, FL is White Point. This is a huge sand bar to the west of the mid bay bridge on the north side of the bay . Just before the bridge toll booths turn off the road into the Maxwell/Gunter Recreational Area, there is parking and access to the beach there.
